How to Get Your Free Games
Technically, yes. If you have been around in the gaming industry, you could name a storefront which has already been generous since the past few years (I am not sponsored anyway). But not only that, there are other options to claim free games, but they usually come on a short period of time.
I had posted a short video about this topic on YouTube, but no worries, I will spill it here too.
If you have visited to storefronts like Steam or Epic Games. It is usually very easy to miss out the 100% discounted games. So I usually go to this website to check if there is any free game today. Its name is IsThereAnyDeal.
Not only it shows you to the free games, but it also shows you the deep discounted games. Sometimes it introduce you to another storefront you don't know, so you'd better see if it checks your list as for the security aspect. To me, most of the storefronts there are considered safe, except the ones which promote NSFW content, I am just not comfortable to see them popped up on the giveaway section honestly, but their aggregated info about discounted games is top-notch nevertheless.
If you want to check specific famous storefront like Steam, you can go to SteamDB instead. Same like "IsThereAnyDeal", but it is specific to Steam storefront instead. I love to check the ongoing discount there too when summer or winter sale arrives. If you are a Steam fanatic, then SteamDB itself is enough, though it is a third-party Steam database.
On the other side, there is a direct competitor that is known for being generous, because there is always a free game every week and mystery games on holiday seasons. Yep, there is no other name like Epic Games. Just go to the website homepage and scroll down a bit, you will find the free games section there.
As far as I know, the good quality free games always dropped on the holiday seasons and those free games usually ever got a deep discount or almost reached 100% discount. Otherwise, the regular, weekly free games are coming from indie developers.
You should check frequently to see if there is any free games coming on that day. If there is no free premium games, then the only ones left are the free-to-play MOBA, battle royale, or some gacha games for all of us, LOL. But honestly, some free-to-play games are not that bad either. Still, no one will argue about the quality of free AAA games. Just wait until then, buddy.
